About The Course Curriculum

COACHING PRACTICUM

Each course has an allocated amount of hours for each student to complete his or her coaching practicum in. Coaching practicum entails professionally coaching individuals, and accumulating a set amount of time per each client. Each client is to complete a feedback form illustrating the hours that you coached the client are correct and any feedback they would like to offer their coach. Coaching practicum with clients can be done face to face or over the telephone.

PEER COACHING

Peer coaching is slightly different from coaching practicum. Peer coaching involves coaching another student within the College. Once the accumulated hours have been built up to meet the course criteria then the student’s client can complete a feedback form for the student and trainer to assess. Peer coaching can commence after the first course “The introduction to life coaching” is completed. The peer student is allocated from the College, a minimum of 12 peer coaching sessions is recommended.

SUPERVISED COACHING

Students receive supervised coaching with either their peer coaching or professional coaching with clients. The supervised sessions involve the supervisor observing the coaching through a teleconference call or face-to-face. Assessment is based on a set of six key concepts of wellness coaching, which students will be marked by an overall percentage with 70% or over the passing mark. Supervised sessions are held on Wednesday and Fridays.

STUDENT SUPPORT

Students have several options for support throughout their training. We offer all students a minimum of 3 (optional) life coaching sessions with the college. Students initially receive their first 3 in the course “Is coaching for me”. All students have the added opportunity to be mentored or coached ongoing with a trained professional coach within ICWC at a very reasonable price.

All students receive the added opportunity of phoning the College on Saturday between 10am – 2pm and Sunday between 1pm – 5pm to have any course questions answered. Students may book this in by emailing: info@icwc.com.au
